IT TAKES A WHOLE VILLAGE…get involved! 

The Firth Community Association is made up of community residents.  The FCA meets the last Tuesday of each month at 8:00pm at the Firth Community Center.  Everyone is welcome so feel free to join us anytime!  Currently the FCA is planning for the Firth Fall Festival and a Santa supper. 

YOU’RE INVITED

The Firth Community Association and the Firth Village Board invites you for an evening of fun at the "Old-fashiong Village Christmas celebration" from 4:00-6:00 PM in Firth. There will be activities at the community center inclding Santa, cookie decorating and the community tree lighting ceremony, dinner specials at both restuarants, and lots of holiday cheer. Make plans to join us and kick off the holiday season in a festive way!

REMINDER

The Village Board reminds you to respect your neighbors.  Please keep your yard orderly and your animals quiet and confined to your property.  Remember that all pets are to be on a leash whenever they are off your property. 

NEW STREET BANNER DECORATIONS

Early this year the Village Board purchased new Christmas decorative banners and hardware for the light posts in the business district and the Nemaha entrance to Firth.  Recently the Firth Community Association purchased three additional sets of banners – spring, patriotic, and fall designs.  Check out the Fall banners currently displayed.  Please thank the Firth Community Association if you get a chance.  The work they do to promote community spirit is greatly appreciated. 

TWO MAJOR INFRATRUCTURE PROJECTS IN DESIGN PHASE

The Village Board is working in conjunction with Olsson Associates Engineering on preliminary design and plans for two major projects. A new well will eventually be built by the water tower. This will replace the small village well which is in the last stages of use. Plans are also in the works for a major storm water drainage project that will target many of the ditches in town as well as channeling the water through and out of the village during heavy rainfall. Both projects will be of great benefit to the village.
