Utility bills are sent the first week of each month.

There is a bill drop box outside the community center front doors or you may mail your village utility bills to:

          Firth, NE  68358 

Automatic Payment (ACH) is available - call the Village Office at 402.791.5544 for information.  (Form available on Documents and Forms page)

Utility bills are due the 25th of the current month. A $25 late fee is assessed on the 26th of the month.

Bills 30 days past due will be sent a shut-off notice.

At that time the patron will have ten (10) days in which to pay the bill (including the $25 late fee).

If the bill is still not paid at the end of this period, water service will be disconnected until the delinquent bill is paid along with a $50 reconnect charge.

Utility rates are as follows:

Water

$24.00/mo base rate plus $2.95 per each 1,000 gallons used (per Ordinance #02-2020-1)

SRF Loan fee (loan repayment fee for 2010 well) $9.96 (per month)

 

Sewer

$20.50/mo base rate plus $2.10 per 1,000 gallons used based on average winter usage.  (Per Ordinance #02-2020-1)

 

Garbage

$19.50/mo (Effective May 2022)

Garbage pickup is on Thursday mornings. Please have all garbage set out before 6:30am.

Thanksgiving garbage pickup is always on the following Friday 

The garbage hauler will pick up most items.

If you wish to rent a garbage receptacle or in the event you have old tires or appliances needing picked up please call Capital City Refuse: 402-770-1195.

 

Electric

Electric bills are collected directly by Norris Pulbic Power.  Please call 1-800-858-4707 to set up electrical service.

 

Natural Gas

Gas bills are collected directly by Black Hills Energy.  Please call 800-303-0752 to set up gas service.
